Muscari (Grape Hyacinth)
Vigorous, bulbous perennial producing semi-erect, narrowly linear to linear-inversed-lance shaped, mid-green leaves. 1-2" bluish - lavender-purple flowers borne on terminal racemes on leafless stems in mid-spring. Grow in massed displays in a mixed border; also suitable for a deciduous woodland garden, wild garden, naturalizing grassland or forcing. Plant 3" deep and 2-3" apart. May be invasive.
Jackson & Perkins, 50 bulbs.

CULTIVATION: Plant 4 inches deep in groups in autumn, in moderately fertile, moist but well drained soil in full sun. Lift and divide congested clumps to maintain vigor, when dormant in summer and early autumn.
PROPAGATION: Sow seed in containers in cold frame in autumn. Remove offsets in autumn. Bulbs mulitply quickly.
PESTS AND DISEASES: Prone to viruses.
