Achillea (Yarrow)
Flat-topped, 2 to 3 inch clusters of lemony yellow flowers atop sturdy 18 to 24 inch stems and striking silvery gray feathery foliage. Excellent as a cut flower or as part of a naturalized border. Long blooming - 3 months or longer! Attracts butterflies.
Used to stanch wounds in battle, it has been called soldier's woundwort. Hardy and easy to grow, this perennial herb is virtually pest and disease free. Clumps expand quickly; divide to keep manageable.

CULTIVATION: Average to poor or loamy, dry to semi moist, well drained soil in full sun.
PROPAGATION: Divide spring or fall. Basal cuttings in spring.
PESTS AND DISEASES: Aphids may be a problem. I have not had any problems in 3 years.
