Each flower and tree is interesting to see ~ watch closely as each unfolds.

Brunnera (Jack Frost)
Frosty silver leaves with strong dark green veins and clearly defined margins. This will brighten up the shade garden all season long. Blooms in early spring with lots of tiny clusters of blue flowers. Very cold hardy. Consistent soil moisture.
The leaves do not hold up through the season, not even for a short period. Maybe I need to move this plant to a different location and it will do better. I could try over by the river birch bed.
Would look great in mass - if you can afford the pricey specimen. Just try one to start (give it a whole year) to make sure it does well in your soil and area, before spending money on many for show.

CULTIVATION: Moderately fertile, humus rich, moist but well drained soil.
PROPAGATION: In early spring sow seed in cold frame. Can carefully divide in early spring.
PESTS AND DISEASES: Rust.
